The inclusive rugby tournament of the Iberian Peninsula

The four leading inclusive rugby clubs are joining forces to create a new international competition that connects sport, diversity and community.

Over the course of two days, teams from different countries will compete in three categories

The venue

The tournament will be held at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid Rugby Ground.


This venue has facilities suitable for hosting international competitions and is well connected to the city centre.


Madrid also offers a wide range of cultural, social and nightlife activities to complete the experience.

Competition, welcome pack, meals, official dinner, and access to the party. It does not include accommodation or transport.

Registration fees for the Iberic Cup LGBTQI+ Madrid 2026 are:

• Man's Rugby Union Player: €100

• Touch Rugby Player: €100

• Women’s Rugby Union Masterclass: €60

• Supporter: €70

The event begins on Thursday, 28 May with the opening ceremony and ends on Saturday, 30 May with the awards ceremony and official closing party. Sunday is free for travel or informal activities.

All players and supporters must complete the registration form available on this website.Registrations are collected individually through the form, but payment must be made collectively by each club. Once all participants from a team have registered, the club will make a single bank transfer covering the total amount for all its players and supporters.After the transfer is received, the registrations will be confirmed by the organization.

 

Payment will be made per team. Payment information will be sent to the person in charge of each team.

The registration deadline is March 30, 2026. After this date, registrations may close depending on tournament capacity.Participants are encouraged to register as early as possible to secure their place in the event.

 

Yes. Each category will have a maximum number of registered players per team. Men's rugby union teams will have a maximum of 25 players and mixed touch rugby teams will have a maximum of 16 players.  

The Iberic Cup will follow adapted tournament rules for each discipline to ensure fair play, safety, and an inclusive environment for all participants.

Two different rule sets will be used:

• Rugby Union – rules specific to the Iberic Cup Rugby Union tournament format.

• Touch Rugby – rules adapted for the Iberic Cup Touch Rugby competition.

No. All players must register as part of a participating club or team.

Each participant must complete the individual registration form on this website, but registrations must be coordinated through the club. The club will then make a single bank transfer covering the total amount for all its registered players and supporters.

Individual registrations that are not linked to a participating club or team will not be accepted.

 

 

Yes. All players must be properly insured to participate in rugby activities.

Participants must either hold a valid rugby federation license or have personal insurance that covers the practice of rugby and possible injuries during the event.

Players are responsible for ensuring they are adequately covered before participating in the Iberic Cup.
